Being fully who you are

When others are away

By Deborah Arndt

Words shared with my niece who was away from home and missing her family during the Holidays. I think this is apt for so many of us now. I hope it has meaning for you, too. —Deborah

You are always at the right place in the right time.

You could have no greater experience than simply being you.

You can never be left behind. Not for long. For you are always in the hearts and minds of others. Those who gave birth to you and raised you, and those who tenderly loved you through all your youthful years. And love you now, undisputedly. You know who they are, yet there are those you do not know about. Those who mercifully and lovingly look down on you from above, from their haven of light, of love, and shed that on you, bestow more of that on you, so that you should never be lonely, never be cast down, but be happy.

Now, there is the challenge—how to be happy when you look around you and can find things to be unhappy about—perhaps the distance of friends and loved ones. Perhaps you feel at times overburdened and alone, but you are never alone, not really, my child.

You could know no greater love. You could have no greater experience than simply being you. Now at Christmas, or at any time really, you need never wonder where you are, what you are doing or whether you are loved, for you are always at the right place in the right time.

Remember always how much you are loved, and let that shine a light into your darkness whenever you feel it come calling at your door. You don’t have to let darkness in. You can decide to be abundant light yourself, shining out to others whose doors are similarly bolted against the night, against the loneliness, against the worry and the separation. No, that ‘s not you. For you are a wonder. You are strong. You are a vision to behold. That is you, the wonderful child in all that you do.

Draw near and hear our words. You are loved beyond your wildest imaginings, and you are never alone, though you might think you are. For you are connected to all that is connected in the whole of the entire universe, and that is saying a lot.

Now on this Christmas, we wish to say this to you:

Our child, our tenderest child, for that is you! Take heart, and place your hand in the hands of those who love you, who are above you somewhere in the heavens, if you want to look at it that way. Go out and look at the stars, and you will see us. Close your eyes, and you will discern us. We are just a glance and a thought away. We are so near, we are closer than touch, but we care just as deeply. That is the part that is important. Don’t tell us you do not feel the care, the light, and love all around you wherever you are. Simply look, my child and look some more! You will see us, and you will see all you ever need to see, even in your hours of greatest need. That is our Christmas message and gift to you.

Now, read this carefully and slowly. Let the dawn bring you joys forever, for that is what you deserve! You are never alone, but always accompanied. Now isn’t that good news? We embrace all there is about you, and we love and honor what you bring to your table of life. We love that you make others smile, and that you bring so much of the light within you to the lives of others. So your gifts are our gifts back at you. Can you begin to understand that—that what you bring lights the world, so that we may light it back at you? That is how it all works, my child.

We hope you appreciate this message, and we have offered to be of help. If you need proof that we exist, we are resident in the many books we are currently writing through Deborah. Why not give them a look sometime?

Our dearest one, look into the mirror of your own soul, and be so pleased as we are of you, our dearest child and offspring of the universe and all of God’s light, too. Light your life as you do others. That is our recommendation and joyful message to you, united in this time of rejoicing … Christmas, or any other holiday you wish to insert there.

For we are ever there, celebrating with you.

What you seek

By Deborah Arndt

Thinking deeper about what’s holding you back

Our teaching is linked to experiential things, which is after all what you are seeking.

Looking out at a vista.

In this world of wonder we are all in, what are you seeking and what holds you back? We are with you now, and endeavoring to reach you and teach you. We know this is a time of turmoil, restlessness, and wondering. Not always the good kind, but the kind that asks deep hard questions. “Why is this happening? What’s happening to me? Where do we go from here?” But you must remember that all is given to you already, and you will not be abandoned or in any way bereft.

How do we go about that? Well, it’s not us, but the many who get involved, including yourselves. There is no Deus Ex Machina in that sense that drops solutions into your lap. Except of course through words such as these that come to you just when you need them, as if indeed dropped from heaven. Not always from us, but from others, too!

What and where are they? Look around you in your churches and temples. Look out into nature. Look into the smiling faces of those around you. There are your answers. So what are your questions? Aren’t they already being answered? Doesn’t humanity provide what you are seeking? Into the face of humanity you must look. Now, there is learning with deep tracks of experience! What can you learn, and how can you benefit from that?

That’s what we want for you: to be able discerners or perceivers of what is being answered now before you. Not being put off to tomorrow or when the sun might come out again. No, we really mean now! Where you are and where you find yourself. So, look and listen is another way to say it.

Are we avoiding the issue? Never! We simply don’t do that. We’re bringing the issue squarely to you. That is different. We come reverently, modestly, and humbly asking you to consider these things. No totems or spells to be cast, but honest, open handed giving based on experience. That’s really what you seek. Something you can plunge into, take home, and keeps giving through all the hard times and all the ages, never failing you. That’s what we offer.

It may strike you at first as just words, but all our teaching is linked to experiential things, which after all is what you are seeking. What good is something for you that is partial or unreal, or a shadow or representation of what could be. What good are empty promises or fair weather solutions? No, you hunger for traction and solutions that bring the rubber to the road so to speak, indeed the road you are on, too.

Try to do some reflection about your daily thoughts, what you most wish for, and how you might be short circuiting your dreams and ambitions with thoughts of worry and doubt. That’s no way to go about it. Instead offer ideas of hope, fervent belief, and knowing that what you seek will come your way. This is the candle flame that sparks the world and lights the way however modestly, even dimly at first, but radiates soon outward to connect you to a vibrant pace in the universe, a lighted way that is light itself in that case.

Why not experiment with this, my children? We are here for this and to focus you on these things. In God’s name we are here, and know that all is God in that sense around you. With love for you — your teachers.

A bale tale

By Deborah Arndt

A field hand was returning home one winter’s evening and stopped to consider some bales of hay:

“The grass grows green and sweet. It’s harvested and baled to bring nourishment to our animals.Yet it’s more than that! It can provide light and warmth. A blaze to cook a warming meal or revive a waning fire. The bale can keep you warm, make a bed to lie upon or seat to stand or sit upon.

This sweet grass brings so much more than itself, yields more! So I see thee as friend, something that does double duty, even in tough times. It’s giving silently … and is trustworthy.”

Now, isn’t this a parable for you all? Wouldn’t you want to burn brightly at all seasons and bring more of yourself. You have so much more to offer and depths within you! So here is a winter’s tale … a bale tale. But not baleful, if you get our drift.  – Your teachers

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

From the Teachers:  When you are on the threshold of a new month, it is so exciting. And what can be more exciting than the ushering in of spring? We know how you often feel at your best this time of year when the animals come back out to play, and birds are everywhere singing their songs. but you are like the spring, ever-wakening and ever reaching toward a new day. We love to call this the ever green part of you. That is a section included in our new and upcoming book: Verdant: The Greening of Our Prosperity. We want you to start looking at what is ever green around you, and to find your natural associations with it. For there are many.  [Read more…] about Approaching Something New
