Renewal

From where we stand

By Deborah Arndt

“For you are transitioning always, now and forever, but the autumn symbolizes it more intensely in many ways.”

From where we stand, all is given. We are not here to play with you or to trivialize your lives or our work in any way. We are here for you. Can you grasp that? We know it is a difficult subject for many of you to reach outside of your comfort zones to realize that something more … much more, is out there. We would not lie to you.

Now, we know that you worry at this time of year with your projects and preparations for children returning to school. We know that you cannot be everywhere at once, but once again we urge you and even nicely (smiles) ask you to consider what you are doing, and why are you are doing it.

We love September and we think you do, too. For it is a season changer for many of you who reside, for example, in the north, yet gives you cause to worry about the outcomes of so many things. “Will it snow early? Will we have enough to pay the heating bill? Will we get away for a break during the winter? Will the holidays bring good things or stressful things? Will the spring dawn with me wishing I had done so much differently?”

We see you reflect so much of that in your annual list in January of New Year’s resolutions. These are good ideas at the time, but often wither on the vine, don’t they?

Well, we would like to offer you something more at this time of year to perk you up, and sort of keep you going. How about a fresh dollop of hope and looking forward to things to come? We think you will like that idea. For you are transitioning always, now and forever, but the autumn symbolizes it more intensely in many ways for many of you.

Now, what are we talking about? We mean that you get practiced at transition, but do you ever get good at it? Being able to run a mile through practice doesn’t mean that you do it consciously aware of what is good for you, or that you feel good afterward. Are there after effects beyond that? Painful arches, hurting ankles, and so forth. So mere practice does not always bring the results you want. You desire certain results, but do you get them? That’s what we are talking about.

We can help you to get to those desired results by helping you to aim your thoughts in that direction. When you aim in that sense and let go, whoosh! You get a result you want. Now, that’s not so hard and you have all been doing this for a long time. When, as a child, didn’t you want what you wanted in the moment? That’s what we mean.

Now, you can contour and shape your thoughts, and point them in the direction of things wanted, and avoid what is not wanted. That’s a good thing, right? How does this help you in September?

We think September is a mindful month, one wherein you are mindful of many things: “How did I do this year, so far? What will happen next? Am I prepared? Can I handle it?” We think you are much more stressed out about your lives and experiences that you are willing perhaps to see and admit.

What if September is more of a honoring time? A bringing in of sheaves … the harvest time. Now, that you can relate to! Especially those of you who farm or work on the land. Now, you understand our point and our symbolism. When do you celebrate the harvest of your lives and your days gone by? Not just this year to date, but all the years to date? When do you look back and say, “My God, thank you for what you have given me, bestowed on me, and let me be my whole life long. How can I thank you? What can I do for you and for others?” Now that is the kind of thinking we like.

We like when you pause and give thanks, and then give thought to others. Deborah, too, has been giving this more and more thought. A good register of where you are at, is how much you are concerning yourself with others and can think outside your own experience to theirs. How are you doing in that regard? Here we teach you to make more of your life experience, and now we are saying, hey, how about caring more about others! Well, they are connected, believe us.

When you are cognizant of the feelings, sufferings, and experiences of others, you are a binding source upon the planet, not unlike binders you add into your food preparation to hold ingredients together. We are not judging that choice to add binders here in this discussion, rather to get you see that you are a binding agent, too, upon the earth.

Your heartbeat, your heartfelt concern for others helps make the world go around. You are not separate from others, as we are always teaching. So when you go about your September duties and day-to-day experiences, remember to fold in a little love and concern for others. Sprinkle it with tolerance and patience, good humor and joy. See what happens.

You can still have a remarkable year ahead, though much of it has already passed, because you are infusing, or better said, ‘baking into it your intention’ of well-being, caring and love. What other ‘salt of the earth’ and  some spices, too, are required, my friend?

Be a salt of the earth. Season your season with your love, your forbearance, and your joyful expectation of things to come. We would love this and will help you along the way.

Bring forth renewal and blossom, even unto your winter months in this way, and in your life, your loves, and your occupations, our dear ones.

We hope this helps you at this time. With love. –the teachers

Blossom time

By Deborah Arndt Leave a Comment

What have you accomplished in the season you are in?

As August edges toward September and thoughts turn to fall, we would like you to apply your resources to thinking about what you have or are accomplishing in this season.

You have many resources open to you such as insight, inspiration, knowing, and hope to get you underway. You also have us helping you to know what is best for you, and to sort of nudge you along to those things. So, what are you doing about it?

Each season has its blooms and many fruits. It doesn’t matter where you are. In the south, north, east, or west. There will always be something blooming somewhere, and you can always find something blooming near you, whether inside or outside. How would you stop this dynamic? It’s everywhere around you. Birth and rebirth, bloom and fruit, wither and rebirth.

Now, are we making our point? How are your blooms, and what fruit are you bearing?

There is a seasonality to it. We know you are excited about the spring time. You party in your summers, and plan in the fall. You await great things in the winter. Now, that’s all fine, but again what are you doing with your precious, precious time, and how are your blooms faring?

Are you unfolding into something greater … the part of you that is awaiting your arrival to take up your flag, so to speak, and to reconnect with all that you wanted to do, go forth, and accomplish? Now, we aren’t telling you to lead movements or go into battle somewhere, just be you.

Let’s get started with a list. What did you accomplish in this season?

  • Deborah traveled to see more of the Great Lakes with Paul.
  • She spent time with loved ones and made new friends.
  • She wrote down much more of our Simple, Beautiful Philosophy, and is bringing our latest book Verdant to conclusion.
  • She brought messages of hope to others who are seeking.
  • She added a new garden as a symbol of her commitment to renewed life and new blooms to old wood, which she laughingly considers herself to be.

Imagine the pleasure of watching hummingbirds and birds of all description alight in her garden, or on her stair rail to look at her and call out their thanks for adding more to All-that-is. Now, that is bringing something more to the equation!

We don’t mean to impugn what what you are bringing to the table, but what are you bringing? You must know, as you are the one doing it. So, evaluate and give yourself a big hug if you are making a difference, and if you are being all you can be in this season, and those to come.

Let your precious now flow into your moments arriving. We think you would agree with us that you want the best of your every ‘now moment’ to flow forward into what is arriving just ahead. How do you go about that?

Well, your precious now is just that … precious! You can’t undo what you have done if you are unhappy, but you can wash it clean, so to speak, to live another day and hopefully a better one. What does this mean?

When you are in your current moment, reflect on what you want to happen, to pitch your thoughts into that with energy and focus to bring them alive. Breathe life into the context you want to live, one with your dreams fulfilled. Evaluate if you are fretting or sad. Are you projecting sadness or worry onto your plans and hopes? When summer blooms begin to fade, do your dreams do likewise? Are you seeing a vista ahead that is gray and obscured, or full of light and energy? Are you looking forward to the next chapter of your life, and the next, and the next? This is the kind of thinking we hope we can encourage within you.

Seasonality is important. A lot of your hopes and dreams are contained in them, as you plan forward what you hope will occur in each, and if your wishes will be realized. “Will the family gather for the holidays? Will I get to take that trip I am planning? Will there be enough money to cover our needs? Will I fall in love?”

So much feels at stake for you. Yet what stake do you have in them?  Do you ask what the worth and value to you of your plans are? Do you give your dearest wishes the attention and focus they deserve to have? Or are you pitching them into the dustbin before they have had the chance for fruition?

What fruit do you want to bear? You must be specfic about this and care about this intensely. For it is really is your work to unfold, flower, and bear fruit in your existence, because it is no one elses. You cannot put that work onto anyone else.

For all you are, and all you can do, you must place unfolding your petals and leaves at the top of your list. So, you are consciously doing this … unfolding into the experiences that you have long waited for and really are just out there, a little bit beyond … waiting for you.

You are already programmed to succeed at this. By that we mean, you have all the tools and helpers you could ever wish for. But you do have a way of getting in the way. You can nip your own bud, so to speak, or wilt before you’ve made the effort to unfold. Don’t let this happen. Instead, stay apace of your seasons, and bear your own and remarkable fruit! Look forward to each new day, and each new week, and finally each new season as the next stop in this exciting journey you are on.

You can know if you are unfolding in the way you wanted if you feel that you’re doing so, and you are receiving the confirmations you need along the way.

We wish you all the best of the season!  –-Your teachers.

The Teachers: “What Awaits You In Spring”

By Deborah Arndt

What does it take to bring something new and fresh into your world?

Deborah has been writing again … in our newest book, which we hope you will enjoy. It’s entitled: Verdant: The Greening of Your Prosperity.  That makes us think of how green everything is turning in New York where Deborah is. All is green again! You must be getting the point that there is no end. And spring signals so much more than season and weather, but how your life re-engages  … again and again! And the wheel is always turning to bring you what you need.

Now, Deborah is hoping we will write to you about gardens. She has been plunging her trowel into the soil making something lovely out of a patch of ground … turning it into a garden of visual delights. The flowers are diverse colors, and she has interspersed grasses and border plants that offset the array of colors perfectly. Can’t you do something similar in your life? What does it take to bring something new and fresh into your world? Does it take a spade and trowel, or does it happen with other tools? What if you are born with those tools? What if Mother Nature provides them at no charge, so to speak? Can you get on board with this idea that you can grow gardens upon gardens with exciting vistas and so much more? You can grow fields of things within you and let them shine out and colorize and beautify the world. So why don’t you?

Think of spring as emblematic.

We love that it is spring, and everything is renewing and on the upswing in upstate New York, but that is only a small part of the world you inhabit. There  is renewal literally everywhere! You don’t have to travel, or fret if you can’t travel, to get to places where gardens like Deborah’s abound, for there is a garden in your own back yard, my friend. You can bring yourself to the task of creating it anytime you wish. Now, we don’t like to tell you what to do, but when it comes to growth and regrowth, and marvelous opportunity to be something MORE, and to give something MORE, and receive something MORE, then why don’t you do it? It is not so hard. Think of spring as emblematic. Think of renewal as your gift for all time … an eternal wonder that you can enjoy, and feel wonder at! Why would you not want that?

As your garden grows, so shall you.

Imagine each day is full of wonder. “How did this or that happen?” you ask. Well, you can have that feeling. You might call it living a life of miracles, or at least miraculous experience, and soon it will become intention. For you will be so good at setting forth each day the intention that your day be filled with miracles. Now wouldn’t that be wonderful? Wouldn’t that be living truly, deeply and wonderfully, just as you always wished? Will others believe that you live a life of miracles? Well, that doesn’t matter at this time, does it? It is enough to feel that something that marvelous CAN be happening to YOU! Do you understand? When something comes home like that, and you can’t deny it, and you can’t push it away, well, you must look at it. Now it is YOURS, and no one can take it away.

Each day, when Deborah writes or reviews what has been written, she knows a miracle has unfolded. Well, it has or at least that is what she feels. We would not want to take that feeling from her! For in her perspective, how can all this writing and teaching be flowing through her? But if you sat with her and felt what she feels, you would soon understand and have a similar experience. For you would be a conduit of all good things and wonderful, exciting, miraculous things, too. For there is a never ending supply. Goodness, value, understanding and teaching can flow through you, too. Why not join the crowd and get on board and live a fabulous revved up life? Why wait any longer? As your garden grows, so shall you! All that you hold dear will flourish, too. Can you wait longer for that?

We do hope you will read our new book that will be published soon, Verdant: The Greening of Your Prosperity and drink deeply from that cup that is provided. Be so glad that this opportunity knocks, and you are not forgotten or omitted from the process that embraces you in all its glory, and selects YOU as its progeny and joyous expression of love, coming to you in love and inviting you to love others. Well, we hope this for you. Welcome spring, and all that it shows and teaches us! For we are all students of this one thing: life everlasting and joyful awakening, again and again!

With our love and hopes that you will mine or garden for new delights … new discoveries along with us. We are here on this journey with you, and we will help you. Never fear. Read on, gardeners of the soul and heart!  We, your teachers

Approaching Something New

Never let there be an expiry date on what you are doing, and want to do!

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

From the Teachers:  When you are on the threshold of a new month, it is so exciting. And what can be more exciting than the ushering in of spring? We know how you often feel at your best this time of year when the animals come back out to play, and birds are everywhere singing their songs. but you are like the spring, ever-wakening and ever reaching toward a new day. We love to call this the ever green part of you. That is a section included in our new and upcoming book: Verdant: The Greening of Our Prosperity. We want you to start looking at what is ever green around you, and to find your natural associations with it. For there are many.  [Read more…] about Approaching Something New
