Insight and wisdom to light up your life

From where we stand

By Deborah Arndt

“For you are transitioning always, now and forever, but the autumn symbolizes it more intensely in many ways.”

From where we stand, all is given. We are not here to play with you or to trivialize your lives or our work in any way. We are here for you. Can you grasp that? We know it is a difficult subject for many of you to reach outside of your comfort zones to realize that something more … much more, is out there. We would not lie to you.

Now, we know that you worry at this time of year with your projects and preparations for children returning to school. We know that you cannot be everywhere at once, but once again we urge you and even nicely (smiles) ask you to consider what you are doing, and why are you are doing it.

We love September and we think you do, too. For it is a season changer for many of you who reside, for example, in the north, yet gives you cause to worry about the outcomes of so many things. “Will it snow early? Will we have enough to pay the heating bill? Will we get away for a break during the winter? Will the holidays bring good things or stressful things? Will the spring dawn with me wishing I had done so much differently?”

We see you reflect so much of that in your annual list in January of New Year’s resolutions. These are good ideas at the time, but often wither on the vine, don’t they?

Well, we would like to offer you something more at this time of year to perk you up, and sort of keep you going. How about a fresh dollop of hope and looking forward to things to come? We think you will like that idea. For you are transitioning always, now and forever, but the autumn symbolizes it more intensely in many ways for many of you.

Now, what are we talking about? We mean that you get practiced at transition, but do you ever get good at it? Being able to run a mile through practice doesn’t mean that you do it consciously aware of what is good for you, or that you feel good afterward. Are there after effects beyond that? Painful arches, hurting ankles, and so forth. So mere practice does not always bring the results you want. You desire certain results, but do you get them? That’s what we are talking about.

We can help you to get to those desired results by helping you to aim your thoughts in that direction. When you aim in that sense and let go, whoosh! You get a result you want. Now, that’s not so hard and you have all been doing this for a long time. When, as a child, didn’t you want what you wanted in the moment? That’s what we mean.

Now, you can contour and shape your thoughts, and point them in the direction of things wanted, and avoid what is not wanted. That’s a good thing, right? How does this help you in September?

We think September is a mindful month, one wherein you are mindful of many things: “How did I do this year, so far? What will happen next? Am I prepared? Can I handle it?” We think you are much more stressed out about your lives and experiences that you are willing perhaps to see and admit.

What if September is more of a honoring time? A bringing in of sheaves … the harvest time. Now, that you can relate to! Especially those of you who farm or work on the land. Now, you understand our point and our symbolism. When do you celebrate the harvest of your lives and your days gone by? Not just this year to date, but all the years to date? When do you look back and say, “My God, thank you for what you have given me, bestowed on me, and let me be my whole life long. How can I thank you? What can I do for you and for others?” Now that is the kind of thinking we like.

We like when you pause and give thanks, and then give thought to others. Deborah, too, has been giving this more and more thought. A good register of where you are at, is how much you are concerning yourself with others and can think outside your own experience to theirs. How are you doing in that regard? Here we teach you to make more of your life experience, and now we are saying, hey, how about caring more about others! Well, they are connected, believe us.

When you are cognizant of the feelings, sufferings, and experiences of others, you are a binding source upon the planet, not unlike binders you add into your food preparation to hold ingredients together. We are not judging that choice to add binders here in this discussion, rather to get you see that you are a binding agent, too, upon the earth.

Your heartbeat, your heartfelt concern for others helps make the world go around. You are not separate from others, as we are always teaching. So when you go about your September duties and day-to-day experiences, remember to fold in a little love and concern for others. Sprinkle it with tolerance and patience, good humor and joy. See what happens.

You can still have a remarkable year ahead, though much of it has already passed, because you are infusing, or better said, ‘baking into it your intention’ of well-being, caring and love. What other ‘salt of the earth’ and  some spices, too, are required, my friend?

Be a salt of the earth. Season your season with your love, your forbearance, and your joyful expectation of things to come. We would love this and will help you along the way.

Bring forth renewal and blossom, even unto your winter months in this way, and in your life, your loves, and your occupations, our dear ones.

We hope this helps you at this time. With love. –the teachers

Our dream of you

By Deborah Arndt Leave a Comment

Last night, we were as if in a dream.

We dreamed that all humankind would be tolerant of each other and extend a helping hand wherever possible. That no stone would be left unturned to do a good deed, and think a good thought. That each one of you understood how connected you are to each other. When you are fed, nourished and blossom, so do others. When you starve, so do others, and vice versa, my friends. That is true, and will be true for all time. You cannot escape that.

So we dreamed of a better time and a better place, but the place we most want to enhance is where you stand now. This is where all the sweetest dreams are. They lie under your feet, so to speak, like rich greening grass that springs below your feet and wants to grow, and moves you forward softly and gently buffering your steps.

Why don’t you take advantage of all there is out there to help you in your journey? Why can’t our dreams come true? What holds you back, and what are you looking for instead?

We have witnessed far too much selfishness, grabbing at straws, hurting each other, and planning to do yet more hurt or damage to each other. So we ask, what’s in it for you? Do you think you succeed at something in circumstances where no one can truly succeed?

What is success anyway but knowing how to live, and then to live? We truly mean truly live, not in half light, and not in anxiety and worry, but truly live. That is what we offer you, if you have the ears to hear and eyes to see this.

We know that you worry, and we know that you pine. How could we not see that? Though we haven’t eyes, we are not blind. We see all that you are, and very importantly, all that you can be.

Now, why don’t you follow our few steps provided and loving advice given, and move into the life you came to experience? We just don’t get why you don’t do this. We have sent our emissaries and Deborah is one. How she walks with you! Her pain is yours, and you would resonate with her pain, we promise. She understands what is to have sadness, confusion, fear, and anxiety. Yet she stands before you ready to carry the flag of truth, and connect you to it through our messages which flow through her.

Don’t let another day pass where you don’t know how to live, or what to live for. What a waste! Let’s join hands and see what we can accomplish together. That would be worlds, my friend. Worlds, indeed!

Our simple, beautiful philosophy is given to you as a great gift, uniquely and lovingly designed to come to you in just the right way, so that you can hear and read what we mean, and how we love and care for you. We hope you will never want to stop reading it once you have started.

Bless you on this day that you came to read this. Let this light open your eyes, your heart, and your new awareness, and of coming things that will bless you yet more!  –Your teachers.

Blossom time

By Deborah Arndt Leave a Comment

What have you accomplished in the season you are in?

As August edges toward September and thoughts turn to fall, we would like you to apply your resources to thinking about what you have or are accomplishing in this season.

You have many resources open to you such as insight, inspiration, knowing, and hope to get you underway. You also have us helping you to know what is best for you, and to sort of nudge you along to those things. So, what are you doing about it?

Each season has its blooms and many fruits. It doesn’t matter where you are. In the south, north, east, or west. There will always be something blooming somewhere, and you can always find something blooming near you, whether inside or outside. How would you stop this dynamic? It’s everywhere around you. Birth and rebirth, bloom and fruit, wither and rebirth.

Now, are we making our point? How are your blooms, and what fruit are you bearing?

There is a seasonality to it. We know you are excited about the spring time. You party in your summers, and plan in the fall. You await great things in the winter. Now, that’s all fine, but again what are you doing with your precious, precious time, and how are your blooms faring?

Are you unfolding into something greater … the part of you that is awaiting your arrival to take up your flag, so to speak, and to reconnect with all that you wanted to do, go forth, and accomplish? Now, we aren’t telling you to lead movements or go into battle somewhere, just be you.

Let’s get started with a list. What did you accomplish in this season?

  • Deborah traveled to see more of the Great Lakes with Paul.
  • She spent time with loved ones and made new friends.
  • She wrote down much more of our Simple, Beautiful Philosophy, and is bringing our latest book Verdant to conclusion.
  • She brought messages of hope to others who are seeking.
  • She added a new garden as a symbol of her commitment to renewed life and new blooms to old wood, which she laughingly considers herself to be.

Imagine the pleasure of watching hummingbirds and birds of all description alight in her garden, or on her stair rail to look at her and call out their thanks for adding more to All-that-is. Now, that is bringing something more to the equation!

We don’t mean to impugn what what you are bringing to the table, but what are you bringing? You must know, as you are the one doing it. So, evaluate and give yourself a big hug if you are making a difference, and if you are being all you can be in this season, and those to come.

Let your precious now flow into your moments arriving. We think you would agree with us that you want the best of your every ‘now moment’ to flow forward into what is arriving just ahead. How do you go about that?

Well, your precious now is just that … precious! You can’t undo what you have done if you are unhappy, but you can wash it clean, so to speak, to live another day and hopefully a better one. What does this mean?

When you are in your current moment, reflect on what you want to happen, to pitch your thoughts into that with energy and focus to bring them alive. Breathe life into the context you want to live, one with your dreams fulfilled. Evaluate if you are fretting or sad. Are you projecting sadness or worry onto your plans and hopes? When summer blooms begin to fade, do your dreams do likewise? Are you seeing a vista ahead that is gray and obscured, or full of light and energy? Are you looking forward to the next chapter of your life, and the next, and the next? This is the kind of thinking we hope we can encourage within you.

Seasonality is important. A lot of your hopes and dreams are contained in them, as you plan forward what you hope will occur in each, and if your wishes will be realized. “Will the family gather for the holidays? Will I get to take that trip I am planning? Will there be enough money to cover our needs? Will I fall in love?”

So much feels at stake for you. Yet what stake do you have in them?  Do you ask what the worth and value to you of your plans are? Do you give your dearest wishes the attention and focus they deserve to have? Or are you pitching them into the dustbin before they have had the chance for fruition?

What fruit do you want to bear? You must be specfic about this and care about this intensely. For it is really is your work to unfold, flower, and bear fruit in your existence, because it is no one elses. You cannot put that work onto anyone else.

For all you are, and all you can do, you must place unfolding your petals and leaves at the top of your list. So, you are consciously doing this … unfolding into the experiences that you have long waited for and really are just out there, a little bit beyond … waiting for you.

You are already programmed to succeed at this. By that we mean, you have all the tools and helpers you could ever wish for. But you do have a way of getting in the way. You can nip your own bud, so to speak, or wilt before you’ve made the effort to unfold. Don’t let this happen. Instead, stay apace of your seasons, and bear your own and remarkable fruit! Look forward to each new day, and each new week, and finally each new season as the next stop in this exciting journey you are on.

You can know if you are unfolding in the way you wanted if you feel that you’re doing so, and you are receiving the confirmations you need along the way.

We wish you all the best of the season!  –-Your teachers.

Turning your hand to good

By Deborah Arndt

On the surface of most things, is that which is observable, apparent, or fairly easy to discern. But you were designed to look deeper, and literally propel yourself forward into your experience. Thus, actuating yourself. We are asking you to find the handle, knob, or whatever you choose to call it, to make this happen.

Have you thought about the word, ‘manufacture?’  It originates from the term: to make by hand. So we ask, what do you turn your hand to? What will you make of your experience and your opportunities? For you see, you are only a footfall away from what is coming into your experience next, and it could be wonderful, or less than wonderful. That’s up to you. Yet it’s not arbitrary, as so many of you think.

What is arbitrary around you? Do you think trees grow arbitrarily, for example, and that they don’t seek out a place to root, grow, and sustain themselves? Perhaps it’s the seed doing the thinking, or perhaps it’s the mother tree and all the trees in the woodland who help with that decision or intention, yet it’s far from arbitrary.

You must not ascribe so much power to what you call chance For we defy you to find things that are truly attributable to chance, unless you want to describe how you apply your free will. We mean this tongue in cheek, but our intentions to assist you and draw attention to this are very serious indeed.

We understand where your heart is at all times. You would prefer to have only good things happen to you, right? But that’s not always possible, and getting less so all the time when you aren’t connected, and don’t see or wish to see how you are connected.

Thus, your moods may determine your outlook, and it follows what you turn your hand to making or creating for yourself. We hope you can see how arbitrary that can seem, and we are less happy about that.

We are always concerned, and get engaged with you when we see that you are in some way hurting or injuring yourself, and when it is so unnecessary to do so, or it isn’t indicated, a favorite word of ours. When something is indicated, we mean it is there before you as an obvious path to take. Will you take it? Or will you steam off in another direction, without reflecting in advance or calling upon your inner guidance, or us to guide you? We are always here for that, by the way.

We mean that literally when we say, ‘by the way.’ We’re on the sidelines of your life, along your road, if you will, waving at you and trying to get your attention. “Come look over here! We have some good news for you, some suggestions and guidance for achieving what you’re most wanting.”

That sounds better to us than ice cream in the summertime! And we get how good that can taste!

Deborah attended a fair early one morning to beat the heat and the crowds. Voila! There before her was home-made black raspberry ice cream. Wow, creamy deliciousness! “What a great breakfast for this morning!” she thought, and felt richly rewarded. She remembered how she used to make it by hand for her nieces.

Now, we aren’t writing about ice cream, but indirectly you could say we are, for we are asking you to turn your hand to making something truly delicious, awe inspiring, and unforgettable in your life.

In fact, it is your life, your life actuating itself with you in the center of it all! Isn’t that what you want? Can we make that any clearer? Why miss out?

You have your hand in it all.  Do you turn your hand to good? Or turn on TV to tune out the world? Do you tune in to distractions that have little to do with real living?

If you make the decision to turn your hand to creating magnificent experiences for yourself, how different your life will be! One way you accomplish this is by regulating your thoughts, choosing what you will think about, and spend time playing with in your mind, turning over and creatively contouring it to match the experiences you really want. Now, this is what we like to call real living, or authentic living. Why not give it a try?

Here’s a way to begin. Start applying the philosophy we are teaching you. A fresh avenue for this is coming soon We’re pleased to bring you new learning handbooks to accompany our published works. Soon you will be able to order one for our latest work, Verdant: The Greening of Your Prosperity.  Here is an opportunity to deepen your learning. Use this handbook to help guide you, assist with your individual reflection and/or group learning. We encourage and invite you to do so. We will provide more information and a link to this handbook when it is completed.

In the meantime, we have devised a fun word game for you, to help you chart your level of connection, and to tune in a bit better to achieve a clearer connection. We’re linking you to a post titled Taking Note on this site, which we think you might find enjoyable, and hopefully mind opening!

We’ll write much more about this topic, however, we do want to encourage you to start thinking now about the outcomes you are manufacturing, and to notice what you are offering as thoughts, how you are focused, and to what you are giving your attention which might be affecting the outcomes you are experiencing.

We look forward to sharing more about this with you.

Keep tuning in. —Your teachers.

There is no final in anything

By Deborah Arndt

Whenever we write, we are thinking of you. We are never far from you.

For those of you who are worrying if we will ever go away, our news is good. No, we won’t. Deborah used to ask when she first encountered and engaged with this philosophy: “Will the teachers ever stop teaching?” Well, we never have. There is no final in beauty. There is no final in life. We are always present. There is no final anything, and we want to underscore that.

Do you mistake what you call leave-taking and passing away as final? We see you at your funerals and services to memorialize the dead, and we wonder if you can conceive of what is really happening out there, and where your loved ones have gone. There is no final anything. Isn’t that great to think about?

Deborah thinks of exceptional moments when she comes upon something breathtaking and says, “Don’t let this be the last one! Let there be many, many more!”

What if we tell you that there are unlimited such experiences, and they will just keep getting better? Wouldn’t you want to stick around for that? Why wouldn’t you?

There is no final you either. You do not leave in the sense that you think you do. You are ever here. You never really leave your loved ones and you never leave yourself, which is more to the point. You are always in tact. So why wouldn’t you want to make the most of that? Why wouldn’t you want to become the best you can be?

If you always have yourself, then you must want that to be good. Right? Well, that is what we are talking about. Why not take the time to investigate this philosophy, learn, and apply it? We love you to test it and us. Then start to change in the direction that makes you the best you can be.

Now, since you have yourself throughout all your days, why not really make the most of each of those seconds and minutes? Why not be thrilled to be alive? Why not be so glad you are here and have work to do?

Why not nest in the thought and expand your nest accordingly, while knowing all is well and safe around you? You are nestled in our arms, as it were, and in the arms of All-that-is. So, you can rest safely now knowing that you shall never be abandoned. You are in our care and are our concern. What more could you ask for?

Now, rest in that my children. Rest.

Come back often to the well of your happiness and inspiration for more. But cradle in the arms of the universe that loves and sustains you. Do that, our children.  —Your Teachers

What happens in my life now is just different

By Deborah Arndt

Today, it began to press upon me how important it is to share about what is going right in our lives. This is especially important where we think there are significant reasons for that. What help can I be to you, dear reader, if I don’t share what good is coming to me from living this philosophy? So it’s time to talk about how my life has changed for the better.

Then I invite you to reflect on what’s happening in your life. You are welcome to comment here, or you can open your heart to be heard and answered. You certainly will be, as our teachers promise.

From simple things to fairly complex ones, what happens in my life now is different than before. I attribute that to a pattern of thinking that has emerged. Knowing how loved I am and how little it serves me to judge or blame others, rage, endeavor to control what’s going on, or worry quite so much, has wrought some big changes.

What I am learning to be true in this philosophy brings a needed sea change within me. These were evident immediately. Turning from negative thinking and embracing what is positive, but more important true, as I am learning from the philosophy, brings about a fresh perspective that affects every aspect of my life.

So, I have a made a start with a list: I rest more deeply. Meaning and value come out of challenges. I let go of fears. I experience happier outcomes. The hardest things become easier.

Some items on my list appear simplistic:  I rest more deeply.  Yet, that’s a function of greater freedom from worry and feeling supported along the way, drawing needed energy and hope. What can be more important to our core experience than the ability to feel good and hopeful? Imagine how our experiences, following upon that rest, must bring improvements and benefit those who are in those moments with us.

Meaning and value come out of challenges I experience, no matter how scary or bleak they appear initially, so that I experience happier outcomes. In this way, I can let go of fears more easily. I can keep going, even in the face of perceived adversity. This is confirmation that I am heard and responded to, and that my life is truly of value.

The hardest things become easier.  I grow and my wounds are salved. This gives me courage and the faith I need to keep going and embrace new opportunities to learn and grow.

Experience-sharing is a great way for us as adults to learn, and it’s hard to compete with good practical examples. I hope you will also share with others in your daily life. Examples from our lives can be a beacon for others!  —Deborah
